About me

Editorial expertise built over a decade of storytelling, publishing and brand strategy

I am an editorial strategist, consultant and award-winning editor specialising in the travel sector.

My experience spans inflight media, consumer publishing, digital platforms and branded content. I currently edit WIZZ, the inflight magazine for Wizz Air, where I oversee the editorial direction of a publication designed to inspire and engage travellers across Europe and beyond.

I have held senior editorial roles across some of the world’s leading airline magazines, including editor of Selamta for Ethiopian Airlines, digital editor for High Life at Cedar Communications for British Airways, deputy editor of b.inspired for Brussels Airlines, and associate editor of easyJet Traveller.

This specialist knowledge of airline customer publishing gives me a unique understanding of how to create effective content that intersects across audiences, platforms and brand objectives.

Travel journalism

Alongside my editorial leadership work, I have built a career as an award-winning journalist, writing for publications including National Geographic Traveller, Condé Nast Traveller, The Telegraph, The Independent, Time Out, Fodor’s Travel, Metro and many others.

I have created travel, food, culture and lifestyle content for leading publishers, as well as customer magazines produced by editorial agencies including Ink, Cedar Communications and Hearst.

My writing shines a light on the unsung heros of the travel world. I specialise in sustainability, social impact, women’s equality and the changing ways we experience the world.

Consulting and brand storytelling

I have advised travel organisations on editorial strategy and content development, including Exodus Travels, Skyscanner, Tripadvisor, Visit California and the Saudi Arabia Tourism Authority.

My experience also spans PR and marketing, including for the adventure tour operator Untamed Borders, which has given me a broader understanding of how editorial fits within brand strategy, audience engagement and business goals.

As a consultant, I have also produced high-level research and analysis, including a political report on women entrepreneurs in the UK commissioned by Lloyds Banking Group for an MP round table at the House of Commons.

Recognition and industry contribution

In 2020, I researched and wrote the DK Eyewitness London guidebook. I was shortlisted as Young Travel Writer of the Year at the 2020 Travel Media Awards, and ABTA Magazine, under my editorship, was shortlisted for Trade Magazine of the Year at the 2022 Travel Media Awards.

I was also named Trade Travel Writer of the Year at the 2022 AITO Awards.

Beyond writing and editing, I host and moderate panel discussions, create and present editorial strategy proposals, and judge industry awards.
